Agility Drill Generator
Picks a speed and change-of-direction drill — shuttles, ladder patterns, reaction sprints — distinct from the site's balance (stability) and mobility (range-of-motion) generators.
What you'll get
This generator draws from a hand-checked list of 8 entries. Here is a spread of 6 of them, so you can see the style before you generate:
- Lateral shuffles, 10 metres each direction, 5 rounds
- High knees on the spot, 20 seconds, 4 rounds
- Quick feet ladder pattern (or marked squares), 30 seconds, 4 rounds
- Shuttle run: sprint out 5m and back, 8 repetitions
- Reaction sprint: have a partner call a direction to change to, 10 rounds
- Box jumps or step-ups at a controlled pace, 8 reps, 3 rounds
A fixed sample of the list, not a live draw — your own results are picked at random from all 8, without repeating until the list runs out. Original authoring for Generate Random — general agility-training drills.. Last reviewed 2026-07-18.
How to use this tool
- Press generate for a drill.
- Generate again for a different one.
Common use cases
- Sports-specific training
- PE lesson activities
- General athletic conditioning
Practical tips
- Run agility work when fresh rather than at the end of a session; tired footwork practises bad footwork.
- Check the surface before starting. Agility drills on a wet or uneven surface are how ankles go.
Entries are chosen with your browser's cryptographic random number generator, so every entry on the list is equally likely. How Generate Random works.
