Privacy Policy

Generate Random (“we”, “us”) is a HEKNO product providing free random generators, pickers, wheels, dice and decision tools. This policy explains what data we collect, what we deliberately do not collect, and why.

What we never collect

We do not collect, transmit, log, or store:

• Passwords, passphrases or PINs generated using our tools
• Names or list items you type into a picker, wheel or shuffler
• Lottery numbers tied to your identity
• Any account information — Generate Random does not require an account

Password, passphrase and PIN generation runs entirely in your browser using the Web Crypto API. The values never leave your device.

What we may collect

Where analytics is enabled (see below), we may collect anonymous, aggregate information such as:

• Which generator or category pages are viewed
• Normalised events like “generator started” or “result copied”, identified only by a generator ID
• Basic device and performance information (browser type, viewport size, load times)
• The length of a search query and how many results it returned — never the search text itself

Analytics status

Generate Random uses Google Analytics 4 with a production measurement ID configured. The analytics script only loads, and only sends events, after you actively accept via the consent banner — declining, or later withdrawing consent, means no analytics activity of any kind reaches Google.

Advertising is built into the platform but stays switched off in code — the site being live does not mean advertising is active. It will only be switched on once we are approved by an ad network. See our Advertising Disclosure.
