Choosing the right decisions tool
Tools for the genuinely arbitrary choice — where nothing distinguishes the options and you want to stop deliberating. They make no attempt to judge which option is better, because a random draw cannot. If you find yourself rejecting a result and drawing again, that reaction is usually the answer you were looking for.
- Decision Maker
- You have several options written down and want one chosen at random.
- Yes/No generators
- The question is binary and you want a single call.
- Weighted decision tools
- The options are not equally attractive and you want that reflected in the odds.
- Best-of-Three
- One draw feels too arbitrary and you want a short series instead.
Every tool in this category draws its results in your browser. How Generate Random works explains how the randomness is produced and what happens to anything you type in.
