How this generator works
A task is drawn from the list you paste, with each line equally likely and no memory between draws. Equal likelihood is the property worth having when the list is a set of chores: any weighting, however well meant, is the thing people argue about afterwards.
Limitations and good to know
- Draws are independent, so the same task can come up twice running. Removing a line after it is drawn is the way to avoid that.
- Nothing is stored, so closing the page loses the list.
- Equal weight regardless of how long a task takes — a fair draw over items is not a fair division of effort.
Privacy and your data
Tasks are processed locally and never transmitted. Nothing is retained after the tab closes, so a work list pasted in here leaves no trace on this site.
