Affiliate Disclosure

Generate Random may, in some places, include affiliate links to third-party products or services relevant to a specific tool (for example, dice and game supplies near a tabletop dice roller). If you click an affiliate link and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.

Amazon Associates

Generate Random is a participant in the Amazon EU Associates Programme, an affiliate advertising programme designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.co.uk. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.

Our rules for affiliate links

• Affiliate links are only ever placed where they are naturally relevant to the tool
• Affiliate links are clearly labelled as such wherever they appear, with disclosure text visible next to the link itself — never hidden inside a tooltip
• Affiliate links never disguise themselves as a generator result, button, or download
• Random results are never altered to favour an affiliate partner
• Every Amazon link is built using Amazon’s own approved linking tools (e.g. SiteStripe) — we never hand-assemble a product URL ourselves
• Every Awin link is the network’s own approved tracking link, supplied by the advertiser — we never hand-assemble or alter it

Current status: six active Amazon placements

Six generator pages carry a live Amazon Associates link to a genuinely relevant product on Amazon, using our own tracking ID: our polyhedral (Dungeons & Dragons style) dice roller (dice set), D20 roller (folding dice tray), five-dice roller (dice cup), initiative tracker (RPG grid battle mat), conversation starter generator (conversation card game), and Secret Santa generator (gift tags). Each link is clearly labelled as an affiliate link with this page’s disclosure text shown directly next to it, never claims to be the “best” or a personally tested recommendation, and never shows a price, rating, stock level or delivery claim.

Several other generator pages were considered during our layout pilot and product review but are not currently active — no affiliate panel appears on those pages, and no product has been chosen for them. No page ever carries more than one affiliate panel, and no other page on the site carries an affiliate link.

Awin

We have a publisher account with Awin, an affiliate network. One Awin advertiser, WebHosting UK Com Ltd, has approved Generate Random. A single link to their UK web-hosting page appears on our domain name idea generator, using our own tracking ID, restrained wording, and no price, plan-spec, or uptime claims. It is the only Awin link anywhere on the site, and no other Awin programme is currently active.
