Clothing Brand Name Generator

Builds a clothing brand name from one of three patterns — '[noun] & [noun2]', '[adjective] [noun]' or '[noun] Apparel' — drawn from banks of 17 adjectives and 17-plus-12 nouns.

What this generator does

Generates clothing and fashion brand names. Fashion naming ranges from surnames to single abstract words to deliberate misspellings; this generator keeps to one register of that range — cloth and workwear words (Loom, Selvedge, Twill) with a trading-house ending or a plain adjective.

What it builds, and how many ways

Each result is assembled to this shape: [noun] + [noun2] — one of 3 sentence patterns this generator uses.

  • adjective: 17 options
  • noun: 17 options
  • noun2: 12 options

Taken together those banks can be assembled 510 different ways, repeating after about 28.

Some results it can produce:

  • Thread & Atelier
  • Upland Flax
  • Seam Apparel
  • Flax & Atelier

A fixed sample so this page stays the same between visits. Your own results are assembled at random, each slot filled independently and each press independent of the last, so the same result can come up twice — past the repeat figure above, seeing one twice is more likely than not.

How to use this tool

  • Brainstorming an apparel-line name
  • Naming a fashion side-project

Randomness and fairness

Parts are drawn independently with the browser's cryptographic random number generator. Nothing is checked against existing brands, and fashion is among the most heavily trade marked categories there is.

For how randomness is produced across the whole site, see how Generate Random works.

Limitations and good to know

  • 510 distinct names across the three patterns. "Don't repeat what I've already seen" is on by default, so a session works through all 510 before any repeat.
  • The name alone says nothing about a brand's actual style or price point — a soft, minimal noun can just as easily be used for streetwear as for tailoring.
  • Trade mark clearance is essential in this category and is not done here. Fashion brands litigate.
  • Check how the name reads in the languages of any market you intend to sell in.
  • Domain and social handle availability need checking separately.

This tool generates creative starting points only. Always check availability, trademarks, and social-media handles before using a generated name.
