Dance Style Generator
Generates a random silly dance-style instruction — a party-game prompt, not a real dance lesson.
What this generator does
Draws one of eight silly ways to dance to whatever is playing — as a robot, as if the floor is lava, using only your arms. None is a named dance: it is an instruction anyone can follow at once, which settles what the room does next without anyone having to be the one who suggests it.
What you'll get
This generator draws from a hand-checked list of 8 entries. Here is a spread of 6 of them, so you can see the style before you generate:
- Robot
- Like a puppet on strings
- Only using your arms
- In extreme slow motion
- Like nobody's watching (but everybody is)
- One-footed
A fixed sample of the list, not a live draw — your own results are picked at random from all 8, without repeating until the list runs out. Original HEKNO-curated generic dance-style prompts for party games. Last reviewed 2026-08-17.
How to use this tool
- Press generate for a style.
- Dance to it, or generate again for another one.
Understanding the controls
- Seed
- A seed reproduces the same dance style, handy for planning a themed evening ahead of time. It's deterministic, not cryptographic.
Common use cases
- Party icebreaker games
- Kids' party activities
- Karaoke-night filler games
Randomness and fairness
Uniform across the list using the browser's cryptographic random number generator. The eight are not graded, so the one-footed instruction is as likely as the robot.
For how randomness is produced across the whole site, see how Generate Random works.
Limitations and good to know
- It gives an instruction and nothing else — what the dance looks like is up to whoever draws it.
- Eight instructions is a short list: a party that plays more than eight rounds sees them again.
- Nothing here assesses physical suitability. Dancing on one foot or as if the floor is lava wants clear floor space and is not for everyone; skip a draw that does not suit.
