What this generator does
Removes options one at a time until a single one is left, rather than picking a winner immediately. Drawing the decision out is the point — it works well in front of a group, where the eliminations build tension.

Worked examples
- Six people, one chore
- Six names go in; five are eliminated one at a time and the sixth left standing gets the chore. Watching the field narrow feels fairer to a group than a single instant pick, even though the odds are identical.

How this generator works
One entry is removed at random from those still standing, drawn with your browser's cryptographic random generator, and the process repeats on the shrinking list until one remains. Every entry has an equal chance of being eliminated at each step, which is mathematically equivalent to giving every entry an equal chance of being the last one left — with ten entries, that is a 1-in-10 chance for each, the same as a single flat draw.
Limitations and good to know
- Eliminating one at a time gives exactly the same chance of winning as picking a winner outright. The difference is entirely in the presentation.
Privacy and your data
The option list is processed locally and discarded when you leave. Nothing is uploaded, and the order things were eliminated in is not recorded anywhere.
