Plyometric Drill Generator

Generates a random plyometric (explosive-power) exercise — jumps and bounds for athletic training.

What this generator does

Draws an explosive-power plyometric exercise. Plyometrics are the highest-impact category of training in common use, and the quality that makes them effective — maximum effort with full recovery — is the opposite of how most people do them, which is many repetitions while tired.

What you'll get

This generator draws from a hand-checked list of 8 entries. Here is a spread of 6 of them, so you can see the style before you generate:

  • Box jumps, 3 sets of 8
  • Broad jumps, 3 sets of 6
  • Squat jumps, 3 sets of 10
  • Tuck jumps, 3 sets of 8
  • Single-leg hops, 3 sets of 6 each side
  • Depth jumps from a low step, 3 sets of 6

A fixed sample of the list, not a live draw — your own results are picked at random from all 8, without repeating until the list runs out. Original authoring for Generate Random.. Last reviewed 2026-07-19.

How to use this tool

  1. Press generate for a plyometric drill.

Common use cases

  • Explosive-power training
  • Athletic performance conditioning
  • Adding variety to a strength routine

Limitations and good to know

  • Plyometric work carries a genuinely elevated injury risk and is not appropriate for beginners, for anyone with a current lower-limb injury, or without a proper warm-up.
  • Landing surface matters more than the exercise. These should not be done on concrete, and jumping down from a height is where most plyometric injuries happen.
  • Nothing here prescribes volume or rest. Plyometrics done as conditioning, with short rests and high repetitions, is where the technique breaks down and the injuries occur.

Entries are chosen with your browser's cryptographic random number generator, so every entry on the list is equally likely. How Generate Random works.
