Quote Generator

Generates a short, original quote-style line for a quick moment of inspiration — the wording is the site's own and no line is attributed to any real person, though several rework a well-known saying.

What this generator does

Returns one short encouraging line written in the style of a quotation, for a card, a presentation opener or a caption. A picker over thirty written lines rather than a builder, so nothing here is machine-assembled — and nothing here is a real quotation with an author to credit.

What you'll get

This generator draws from a hand-checked list of 30 entries. Here is a spread of 6 of them, so you can see the style before you generate:

  • Small steps still move you forward.
  • What you practise, you become better at — including patience.
  • You are allowed to change your mind as you learn more.
  • A little kindness costs nothing and travels further than you'd think.
  • What feels impossible today is often just unfamiliar.
  • Patience is a plan, not just a feeling.

A fixed sample of the list, not a live draw — your own results are picked at random from all 30, without repeating until the list runs out. Original HEKNO-written quote-style lines — not attributed to any real person. Last reviewed 2026-07-29.

How to use this tool

  1. Press generate for a quote.
  2. Generate again for a different one.

Understanding the controls

Seed
Typing the same word reproduces the same line, useful for coming back to one worth writing down properly. The sequence is deterministic, not cryptographic.

Common use cases

  • A caption for a photo or post
  • A quick moment of motivation
  • Journal or classroom prompts

Limitations and good to know

  • All 30 lines are the site's own wording in a quote-like style and none is attributed to a real person — this is not a quotations database. Several rework sayings in general circulation (the empty cup, the best time to start): the wording is the site's and the thought is older.

Practical tips

  • These lines have no author, so do not credit one. If you want a real quotation, find it in a source you can check — misattributed quotations circulate very widely online.
  • A short quotation lands better on a slide than a long one, whatever the content.

Entries are chosen with your browser's cryptographic random number generator, so every entry on the list is equally likely. How Generate Random works.

Every line is HEKNO-written wording, some of it a reworking of a common saying; none is a real historical or attributed quotation.
