Kettlebell Exercise Generator
Suggests a kettlebell exercise — swings, cleans, get-ups — for a kettlebell-only session or adding variety to a routine.
What this generator does
Draws only from kettlebell movements, which are genuinely their own category — the offset weight makes swings and cleans behave differently from the equivalent dumbbell lift.
What you'll get
This generator draws from a hand-checked list of 10 entries. Here is a spread of 6 of them, so you can see the style before you generate:
- Kettlebell swing
- Goblet squat
- Single-arm kettlebell row
- Turkish get-up
- Kettlebell halo
- Kettlebell press
A fixed sample of the list, not a live draw — your own results are picked at random from all 10, without repeating until the list runs out. Original HEKNO-curated kettlebell-exercise list. Last reviewed 2026-07-25.

How this generator works
Kettlebell movements split into two kinds that behave very differently: ballistic ones where the bell swings and momentum does part of the work, and grinds where it moves slowly under constant tension. The list holds both, and knowing which you have drawn changes how you should programme it.
Limitations and good to know
- One bell is assumed. Double-bell movements exist and are not on the list, because they change the demand enough to be a different exercise.
- No weight is suggested. A bell light enough to press is usually far too light to swing, which is the most common mistake with a single kettlebell.
- Technique matters more here than in most training, and a movement name is not an instruction — several of these are worth learning from a coach before loading them.
Practical tips
- Learn the swing hinge before attempting any of the ballistic movements; almost every kettlebell fault traces back to it.
- Clear the space around you before starting. Kettlebell movements travel further than most gym exercises.
Entries are chosen with your browser's cryptographic random number generator, so every entry on the list is equally likely. How Generate Random works.

Frequently asked questions
- What is the difference between a swing and a snatch here?
- Both are ballistic, but the snatch finishes overhead and asks a great deal more of the shoulder and the timing. They are listed separately because they are not interchangeable.
- How do I build a session from single draws?
- A common shape is one ballistic movement to raise the heart rate and one or two grinds for strength. Drawing four ballistic movements gives a conditioning session rather than a strength one — which is fine, if it is what you meant.
