Remote Team Activity Generator
Generates a random light team-bonding activity designed for remote or hybrid teams over video call.
What this generator does
Draws an activity that works over a video call — no shared room and nothing to buy or post out. Seven of the ten are playable when half the people have their cameras off; three (the show-and-tell, the background theme day and guess the desk) are about what the camera shows. Most team-building activities quietly assume everyone is visible and equally willing.
What you'll get
This generator draws from a hand-checked list of 10 entries. Here is a spread of 6 of them, so you can see the style before you generate:
- A virtual coffee chat with no work agenda
- A show-and-tell where everyone shares something from their desk
- A 'two truths and a lie' round over video call
- A quick round of 'rose, bud, thorn' — a highlight, something growing, a challenge
- A virtual background theme day
- A team trivia quiz about each other
A fixed sample of the list, not a live draw — your own results are picked at random from all 10, without repeating until the list runs out. Original authoring for Generate Random.. Last reviewed 2026-07-19.

Randomness and fairness
Drawn uniformly with the browser's cryptographic random number generator, with no awareness of team size or time zone spread.
For how randomness is produced across the whole site, see how Generate Random works.
Limitations and good to know
- 10 activities in total, so a weekly team ritual will exhaust the bank within about two and a half months.
- None of these are sized for the group — an activity that works well for six people can drag for twenty, and that judgement is left to whoever runs it.
Practical tips
- Keep it under fifteen minutes and make it optional. Compulsory remote fun is worse than none.
- Anything that requires everyone to speak in turn scales badly past about eight people; use breakout rooms instead.
