Would You Rather Generator
Generate a random 'would you rather' question — a fun way to spark conversation or settle a lighthearted debate.
What this generator does
Poses a choice between two awkward options, drawn as a pair so the two halves genuinely trade off against each other. A single random list could not do that: the tension depends on the two sides being written together.
How to use this tool
- Press generate for a random question.
- Generate again any time for a new one.
Worked examples
- Shape
- Would you rather [option A] or [option B]?
Common use cases
- Icebreaker games
- Road trip or waiting-room entertainment
- Classroom discussion starters
Limitations and good to know
- The dilemmas are written for conversation, not for a correct answer. Groups often enjoy arguing about the terms of the question more than answering it, which is fine.
Practical tips
- Insist on a choice. "Neither" is the answer that ends the game, and the interest is entirely in the justification.
- Go round the group before discussing, so nobody's answer is anchored by the loudest person's.
