Random Marketing Channel Generator

Generates a random marketing channel — from email newsletters to influencer partnerships — as a starting point when deciding where to focus a campaign. Draws one entry from a list of 15 real channel types.

What this generator does

Picks a channel to consider rather than a message, for anyone defaulting to the same two. It suggests where; what to say there is a separate question.

What you'll get

This generator draws from a hand-checked list of 15 entries. Here is a spread of 6 of them, so you can see the style before you generate:

  • Email newsletter
  • Paid search ads
  • Content marketing / blogging
  • Referral programme
  • Events and sponsorships
  • Podcast sponsorships

A fixed sample of the list, not a live draw — your own results are picked at random from all 15, without repeating until the list runs out. Original HEKNO-curated list of common marketing channels. Last reviewed 2026-08-17.

How to use this tool

  1. Press generate for a channel.
  2. Consider it for your next campaign, or generate again for another option.

How this generator works

One name is picked from a fixed list of 15 marketing channels, spanning owned (email newsletter), paid (paid search ads, paid social ads) and earned (referral programme, community engagement) categories rather than favouring any one type.

Randomness and fairness

A seed word switches to a deterministic, non-cryptographic draw, so a channel already chosen for a campaign can be found again by that word rather than re-noted in the plan.

For how randomness is produced across the whole site, see how Generate Random works.

Limitations and good to know

  • The list holds 15 channels, so it will repeat well before you have tried every real option relevant to your business.
  • It names a channel, not a strategy — audience fit, budget and measurement are all outside its scope, and a channel your audience is not actually on is a wasted suggestion.

Practical tips

  • Check your audience is actually on the channel before committing effort to it — the fit matters far more than the channel's size.
  • Try one properly for a month rather than three badly for a week each.
