Draws a puzzle mechanic for a dungeon room, rather than a hazard or a feature. A room-scale puzzle needs to be solvable by talking rather than by rolling, which means the information has to be in the room — a puzzle whose answer is in the referee's notes stalls the table.
What you'll get
This generator draws from a hand-checked list of 9 entries. Here is a spread of 6 of them, so you can see the style before you generate:
- Three levers must be pulled in the order shown by symbols hidden elsewhere in the room.
- A door opens only when the room falls completely silent for ten full seconds.
- A mirror shows the room as it will look after a trap is triggered — study it before acting.
- A riddle carved into the floor must be answered aloud to disarm a magical ward.
- A locked chest opens only to the correct combination of colours, found in an earlier room's mural.
- Stepping on the wrong floor tile resets the puzzle — the correct path is marked only in reflection.
